food for clear skin

One of the reasons I first became interested in nutrition was because of this notion that food can be healing. The idea that what we put into our bodies can have a direct link to our overall health and wellness. I suppose these days that sounds pretty obvious to most people, but before Whole Foods became so popular and wellness was such a buzzword, it didn’t seem so linear to me.

summertime and staying hydrated

Summer has made her presence known. After a mild few weeks, it appears that the heat is here to stay.

Temps  in NYC have been in the mid-90’s with high levels of humidity. Just gross. Frizzy hair, sweaty faces, stinky subway rides – the whole deal.

True story.

In fact that happened just a few hours ago.

Produce Storage

If you are trying to save money and eat right, preparing meals at home is usually the way to go. But how annoying is it when you go to make a meal and what you find is slimy lettuce and mushy tomatoes? The worst right?

Super Bowl Sunday

As with many holidays and special occasions, Super Bowl Sunday is as much about the food as it is about the event itself. With the big game tomorrow, I thought I’d share a few tried and true tips on how to enjoy the festivities without turning the day into a Calorie Bowl.

Taming the Sweet Tooth

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a sweet tooth.

I absolutely cannot relate to people who would rather have a cheese board than dessert.

That blows my mind.
