Long time no talk. After a brief hiatus from the blog I’ve had multiple requests to come back and flood your brains with my ongoings and nutritional musings. So, for my adoring fans (all two of you), I’ll be picking up the slack and bringing back the blog with some race recaps (a really fun one last weekend), recipes and lots of food prep tips (since this is the question I’ve been getting the most).
This past weekend I participated in the Nike Women 10K.
This race was done virtually, participants just had to log their miles at some point between March 9th and 10th through their Nike+ app.
At first I thought the concept was sort of silly but then the more I thought about it, the more I kind of liked the idea.
This weekend I went up to the American Museum of Natural History to check out a new exhibit called: Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture
It is an exploration of, “the complex and intricate food system that brings what we eat from farm to fork. In sections devoted to growing, transporting, cooking, eating, tasting, and celebrating, the exhibition illuminates the myriad ways that food is produced and moved throughout the world”. [source]
It was a really interesting exhibit and I highly recommend checking it out, even if you aren’t a food/nutrition nerd like me. Just don’t go during a holiday weekend. Stroller City.
It has been an interesting few days. I guess when your week starts with a root canal, things can only get better, right?
Long time no talk. It has been an interesting few weeks. The holidays were great, then I did some relocating, survived a concussion and now I am trying to figure out just what 2013 has in store for me.
Before diving into 2013, let’s reflect on the last few weeks of 2012.
