I make this smoothie many mornings and really love it as a way to start my day with something really nourishing and truly filling. It’s best when you don’t spill it everywhere and actually get to drink it (see picture).
1-2 generous handfuls of greens (I like kale, spinach, chard or romaine)
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
3/4 of a frozen banana
1 cup water or almond milk
1 tbs spirulina (optional)
A few slices of cucumber or celery or both
Handful of parsley or cilantro
If this isn’t sweet enough for your taste you could add stevia (or another natural sweetener) or use sweetened almond milk to make it more palatable.
Major sadface when you spill it before you drink it 😦
